Julie Sinton Pruniski and Steven Adamski Join The Community Foundation Board

San Luis Obispo, CA — The Community Foundation San Luis Obispo County is pleased to welcome Julie Sinton Pruniski and Steven Adamski to its Board of Directors, adding deep expertise in community foundation strategy, regional economic development, and legal and civic leadership at a pivotal moment for the region. Both will begin their board service in September.

Their appointments come as The Community Foundation continues to expand its role as a trusted partner to donors, nonprofits, and public agencies—helping address complex local challenges while stewarding long-term charitable resources for San Luis Obispo County.

Julie Sinton Pruniski is Vice President of Projects and Programs at REACH, where she leads regional initiatives advancing the Central Coast’s economy, including the nationally recognized $9.5 million Space Vandenberg initiative. She previously spent twelve years as a strategic management consultant to community foundations nationwide, and partnered with The Community Foundation on the 2020 Census outreach grantmaking process. She holds a BA from Stanford and an MBA from Vanderbilt.

A fifth-generation San Luis Obispo County resident who grew up on her family’s ranch outside Shandon, Julie’s ties to The Community Foundation run deep — her mother, Jane Sinton, served as its founding Board Chair, a legacy she’s honored to continue.

Steven Adamski has practiced law in San Luis Obispo since 1988. In 2001, he founded the firm now known as Adamski Moroski Madden Cumberland & Green LLP, where he remains managing partner, and he’s also a founding partner of Robins Borghei LLP, which handles statewide groundwater contamination litigation. From 1985 to 2011, he served as legal counsel to the Golden State Warriors, including as general counsel from 2001 to 2011.

Steven’s family has deep Central Coast roots. He lives in San Luis Obispo with his wife, Meg Stenger, and is an owner of SLO Cider and Mercenary Premier.

“Julie and Steve bring exactly the kind of experience and community commitment that will strengthen our Board at a pivotal time,” said Christine Dawson, Chief Executive Officer of The Community Foundation San Luis Obispo County. “Julie’s deep knowledge of the community foundation field and lifelong ties to this county, combined with Steven’s legal expertise and decades of civic and business involvement, make them outstanding additions to our Board.”

The Community Foundation works in partnership with donors, nonprofits, and community members to address local needs, strengthen nonprofit organizations, and support long-term community well-being across San Luis Obispo County.
