The Community Reports & Data Center is a collection of reports to help raise public awareness around needs, trends, and emerging issues in San Luis Obispo County. The reports included in the Center were curated by nonprofit community leaders to ensure that information provided is credible and accurate. This webpage is in the “beta phase” and will officially launch mid-summer. Select a category below to learn more about needs in our community:

Since 1999, ACTION for Health Communities was a collaborative of individual agencies, public and private organizations were committed to producing a report called “Vital Signs”. The Vital Signs report collected information on quality of life indicators. Previous reports can be found here. In 2020, the collaborative decided to sunset the production of the report since there is now a wealth of reports available in our region. This Center was created to help improve accessibility to quality data in our region.

The Community Reports & Data Center is generously supported by the County of San Luis Obispo and The Community Foundation San Luis Obispo County. Thank you to our nonprofit leaders who curated the reports listed on this website: Julia Alber, Cal Poly; Rita Casaverde, Diversity Coalition San Luis Obispo County; Claire Hermann, County of San Luis Obispo; Patty Herrera, Dignity Health; Susan Hughes, Retired; Michael Kaplan, Transitions Mental-Health Association; Fred Munroe, KCBX; Jason Wells, First 5; Ron Yukelson, Wilshire Hospice.
