This fund will distribute grants to local eligible organizations that address the health care needs of the County.
Healthy Eating Active Living (HEAL SLO)
The Foundation works with HEAL SLO to combat the problem of obesity. Over $60,000 has been granted to address recommendations of the plan developed by the Childhood Obesity Prevention Task Force.
Helen and Ronald Dunin Memorial Endowment Fund
This fund was created to help people who are attempting to help themselves. Funds will be disbursed in the form of loans, grants, stipends and scholarships.
Disaster Support Fund
The Community Foundation has a Disaster Support Fund to assist communities affected by natural disasters or pandemics. Donations to the fund will provide both immediate relief and support rebuilding and recovery efforts in the aftermath of the recent devastation. Grants from the fund will be distributed to nonprofit agencies and organizations directly assisting individuals to meet needs as they arise and to deploy resources where they are most needed. The Community Foundation has waived all administrative fees so 100% of donations will be used for grantmaking. In March 2020 the Fund was opened to support nonprofits serving populations impacted by the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Emergency Medical Services Fund
Fund purposes: Support the appropriate use of 911, CPR, AED, and First Aid through public education; Foster growth, continuous improvement, and personnel development of members of the Emergency Medical Services community; Support education of individuals
Foster Parents Association Endowment Fund
This is an endowment fund to support the operations and activities of the Foster Parent Association.
Community Action Partnership Endowment Fund
This agency endowment will provide support to the Community Action Program to carry out its role and mission as described in their governing documents.
AIDS Support Network Endowment Fund
To support the AIDS Support Network in carrying out its role and mission as described in its governing documents.
ALPHA Endowment Fund
Pregnancy & Parenting Support of San Luis Obispo (also known as San Luis Obispo ALPHA) Fund was established to support the mission of Pregnancy & Parenting Support of San Luis Obispo in providing San Luis Obispo County families with emotional support, practical assistance and connections to community resources from pregnancy through a child’s second year.
Alva, Ernest & William Righetti Fund for Seniors and People with Disabilities
This fund was established by the Righetti family to assist organizations that help disabled and/or elderly citizens of the County of San Luis Obispo.
