Preventive Health Care Endowment Fund

This fund supports programs that promote the health and well-being of the community, encourages behaviors that focus on preventing disease, and enables county residents to reach and maintain optimal health stability and independence.

SLO County Feed the Hungry Endowment Fund

This fund was established by the SLO County Board of Supervisors from monies received in a settlement concerning overcharging customers at the Albertson’s food store chain. The fund will be used to support the programs of the Food Bank or other food distribution nonprofits

Women’s Legacy Fund – Endowment

Kids’ Cancer Research Foundation

When the sickest of the sick children in our community are diagnosed with cancer, they have to travel to the few medical centers outside our area that focus on their disease. These centers, many of which also treat adults, have a long history of developing the treatments that are being used today to save lives locally. The Kids’ Cancer Research Foundation (KCRF) is dedicated to supporting the development of life-saving treatments for pediatric cancer, specifically the one most prevalent in infants and young children.

Maureen “Mo” Clancy Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Maureen “Mo” Clancy Memorial Scholarship Fund was established to honor the memory of Maureen “Mo” Clancy. The scholarship will provide support to girls who participated during high school in cross country and/or track and field and who will pursue a post-secondary education.

Healthy Eating Active Living (HEAL SLO)

The Foundation works with HEAL SLO to combat the problem of obesity. Over $60,000 has been granted to address recommendations of the plan developed by the Childhood Obesity Prevention Task Force.
