How to Apply for a Grant

The primary goal of the 2017 Grants Program is to provide funding for agencies and programs that directly address community needs identified through local needs assessments. The Community Foundation is currently accepting grant applications for the following three grant programs: Community Needs, Community Focus, and Community Strength. Each grant program is competitive and provides grants to a variety of qualified nonprofit organizations throughout San Luis Obispo County.

Strategic Initiatives

Through grants and programs, we use strategic investments for addressing unmet or emerging community needs. These needs may be met through field of interest funds established to distribute grants for local programs. As new grant programs are developed, information and guidelines are made available on this site and announced through the Executive Director's List-Serv.
